Welcome to my room!

This 2016/2017 school year I am a Junior at High Point University and am living in my sorority’s house on campus. I love living in the house. It was honestly such a good decision because I love being on campus, it makes it so easy to get to classes and study. We have a great group of girls in the house too this year and it makes me even happier that I live there.

So if you didn’t read this post a month or two ago you wouldn’t know the theme or look I was going for this year! Basically I was going for a white and metallic look or theme this year, just because that is my personal style. I wanted to keep my bed all white mainly (with exception to the body pillow I have) and have gold and silver accents all over the room. Gold with the big painting and other canvases and silver with the lamps and photo frames. I also had a faux fur moment if you an tell with the stool at my nightstand/ makeup table and with the faux fur rug on the ground (sadly it isn’t pictured). Another big part that I love is the deer head and floating shelves above my bed. The lights draped around my headboard really provide a good vibe for when I need to relax and also make it feel more homey. The floating shelves and deer head are all for looks but I love how they provide a focal point. I wanted to keep my desk more minimalistic so it was a good focus area for homework, studying or even blogging. An the shelf that I have between my desk and bed really helped provide a place for me to but all of my little trinkets and things that make my room so me and comfortable to live in. I took advice from my sister and fellow blogger, Sam McNeil (make sure to check out her blog here), and bought a mini fridge to keep snacks, and breakfast items in just to quickly grab and go when I am heading off to class. As for my closet

If you are interested in some of the staple pieces in my room I will link them below!

xx, Chandler
