Fall Necessities

1.// 2. // 3. // 4. // 5. // 6. (faux fur here) // 7. // 8. // 9.

As I write this it is low 70s, gray, cloudy and rain spurts here in North Carolina. I didn’t have class today (well not until 5 pm) so I lit an apple pumpkin candle (check out this post and this post to find out which ones I am loving), laid in bed and relaxed while drinking peppermint tea (this is my favorite), emergen-c and LOTS of water. I am really trying not to get sick. So many girls in the house are dealing with different sicknesses so I am taking my precautions.

Anyway with the fall vibes I just had to pick out some fall vibe clothing before it heats up to the 90s again this weekend. I focused mainly on staple pieces like sweaters, jackets, boots/booties, scarves and beauty must-haves.

A must-have for me for beauty is Essie ‘Wicked’ nail polish. It seriously is the most perfect color for fall. It is a dark dark red that is just stunning. During the fall and winter time I will just paint my nails this color over and over again, only taking it off when it chips, to just paint it back on again. For lips, this is where I like to venture out to be more fall-y. I focus on dark red burgundy shades. This one (in the shade Charlotte) I own and love and this one I am needing (in the shade Bette). I love the Nars Audacious lipsticks because they are creamy. They don’t have staying power but they are highly pigmented and comfortable on the lips.

I found this gorgeous Balenziaga scarf that is to die for. I love the words all over it but I don’t find it too busy if you were to pair it with the burgundy bomber, jeans, a basic shirt and booties or any other shoe. On the other hand of the scarves that I found, I will admit that I did include a fur scarf in this post’s picks. HOWEVER I am pro faux fur and thought that the scarf I found was good inspiration to find something similar in a faux form. I personally found this one and love it because it is a mix of cable knit and faux fur.

My two favorite boot trends. The over the knee and the bootie. (I also love a good chelsea boot.) I found this one that surprise surprise is not the Stuart Weitzman ‘Lowland’ boot that has been shown in other posts. This one is under $200 and way way more reasonable than spending $800 on a pair of boots. I always have to have a solid black pair of heeled booties and these are just that. I am also loving these that I saw featured on this post from Fashionlush! I love the pointed toe and heel.

If you know me at all I am a die hard leather jacket fan. (I own faux leather personally.) I put my leather jacket with as many outfits as I can. It should be a staple in everyone’s closet. But the bomber on the other hand is a jacket that is newly needed by everyone in my opinion. Especially in deep colors such as this one.  I also love deep green, pale pink, white and a satin rose gold.

First off I learned from this post that I am loving turtleneck, sweater combos. I love the heathered sweater with the black detailing on the ends of the sleeves and the chunky turtleneck. They are so cozy. And for the cream cable knit sweater with the turtleneck, I love the cut of the bottom. I think the asymmetrical lines are so edgy for the cable knit that it is made out of.

(But on the real, if you have never tried Essie ‘Wicked’ nail polish, you have to.)

xx, Chandler
