Over the past few weeks I have picked up a few things and created some opinions of those things… So lets talk about them!
Dior AirFlash Spray Fondation – I am LOVING this foundation! The finish and longevity of this foundation is absolute perfection. Yes I will admit it doesn’t match me perfectly… but I am super fair so it is hard to do that anyway. Bronzer on the neck works just fine with me when the foundation is just that good. The Dior Airflash Spray Foundation is sprays a fine mist of foundation to provide a soft, velvety complexion. Mother of pearl pigments even skintone and diminish the appearance of skin irregularities and fine lines, leaving your skin glowing with optimal radiance. How I use it is by spraying a little bit on my face (close to my face so it doesn’t go everywhere), blending it out with my beauty blender and continuing this process all over my face until l make it all even and as natural looking as possible. I am in the shade 100 ivory (aka the palest shade they create).
Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Creme – When I was at Nordstrom getting color matched for the foundation, the lady who was helping me, also the manager of the Dior counter, really dolled me up from face lotion, step 1, until eyeshadow and mascara. She was telling me about the amazing technology that Dior created that is used in this product. This product is a creme for lightweight hydration that plumps and hydrates the skin without making it too oily. Since I have combination, oily skin, this fits the bill.
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown – This eyebrow pencil is THE eyebrow pencil that everyone needs (if you do your brows). I recently tried this Benefit pencil and HATED it. The shape of the pencil was wonky and not good for what I needed the pencil to do. When I used it I ended up cleaning up the edges of my brows every day to make them more defined and not muddy looking. That is just too many steps. So back to the brow wiz I go and man, have I missed it.
Nude Beauty Blender – My ride or die product, the beauty blender, recently had to be put down (in the trash). It had a good life, but it was time to let it go and get a new one. So I decided to take a leap of faith from my black one, that literally always looked clean (maybe a little too deceivingly clean) and bought the nude one. Not as deceiving as the black one but still. I love it. I forgot what it felt like to get a new beauty blender… the feeling is so nice. It is soft and not worn from washing it over and over again. I highly recommend that you get a new beauty blender. Let go of the old and take in the new.
Becca Glow on the Go Moonstone Set – For months now I have wanted to get a pan of the Moonstone highlighter from Becca because my sister broke my back up champagne pop. (If you were wondering on a little update from this situation… she still owes me a full pan.) Anyway because I am so pale I knew Moonstone would be a gorgeous color, especially when I reach the palest of pale this winter as the sun goes into hiding. And wow. I love the color. What surprised me from this set was how much I love the liquid! I have been really into more natural looking highlighters at the moment and the liquid just blends in seamlessly with the skin. Now if I want a little more oomph I go for the pan. And trust me, sometimes I love a good strong glow.
Ren Pure Collagen + Biotin Shampoo and Conditioner – As you have read previously, in this post, I love my Ouai Shampoo and Conditioner. However as a broke college student, I don’t always have the money to just drop $60 on hair products. So I love trying out different drugstore hair products that work almost or just as well as the higher end products. For me, RenPure products are awesome from the drugstore. My sister and I love the Coconut Cream set and from that love I decided to try the Collagen and Biotin set. Lauryn Evarts (from TSC) raves about biotin and collagen all of the time so when I saw this clearly written on the bottles I grabbed them and bought them immediately. So far so good. This set is a thickening shampoo and conditioner and I actually notice a difference! I love thick luscious hair and this set really makes me see a difference in my hair after I wash it. If you want to try RenPure, take their hair quiz to find out what products of theirs would be best for you. I also really want to try out this lines blow out cream too since I attempt (key word attempt) to semi blow out my hair every time I wash it.
Essie Gel-Setter Top Coat – This product is actually one of the newer products that I haven’t gotten a super good sense about but none the less, I am really enjoying it so far! I have it on my nails right now, on top of my favorite nail polish maybe of all time, Wicked. (Read about it here.) So I also have gotten a little into base-coats for the first time in a while and I have been using this Orly one. The reason for me trying out all of these new nail products is because I have always struggled getting nail polish to stick on my nails for more than a day or two. I don’t know why, maybe I got it from my mom since nail polish doesn’t last on her nails either. But back to this product… my nail polish is still on my nails and it is day two so I have hope. The top coat also makes the nail polish looks super glossy and shiny and as of right now, the glossy factor is not dying down like other top coats do after getting makeup, lotion, hair products etc on it. So far I am very hopeful.
Elf Clear Lash and Eyebrow Mascara – This is my all time favorite favorite eyebrow gel. Would I love to buy Anastasia’s eyebrow gel every time I needed a refill? Yes. But as a broke college student this is a great alternative and is only $2! Seriously it works so well in holding my crazy crazy brows in place all day and with the price being what it is, it is so hard to beat.
Let me know what you’ve been loving !
