Just the other day I received another Thrive Market present from my amazing Aunt Darci and it contained the protein powder that I am obsessed with at the moment.
(We will get into all of the goods that were in those packages a little later on in the post. Seriously some jackpots.)
I know I have a post on this blog that is called “My Fav Protein: SheSupps“.
But let’s just remember that that was posted A YEAR AGO.
So the chances are that I have found a new one to take that spot of “#1 Protein Powder”.
And guys, I did find it.
And it was all just pure chance. Maybe even fate? Fate that my Aunt Darci would ship me the protein powder that seriously changed the game for me? Who knows.
But all that I care about is that I was never one to order chocolate protein powder and now I’m hooked.
So let’s talk about it.
The Primal Kitchen Primal Fuel in Chocolate Coconut. Literal yum.
In that other protein powder post I got more into the breakdown and details of protein powder in general so make sure to check that post out here.
So the Primal Kitchen Primal Fuel promotes and maintains lean muscle mass with whey protein isolate—which has the highest biological value of any protein source. Its primary source of fat is from dairy-free coconut milk, and it’s packed with vital prebiotics (plant fiber that beneficially nourishes the good bacteria already in the colon) to support a healthy gut. (Check out my gut health post here.)
I am all about a healthy gut. For real.
The gut detox I did curbed all my cravings and helped me appreciate eating cleaner foods again.
Seriously, I crave green juice on the reg.
I love this green juice powder. It takes the pain away of juicing or buying expensive juices on the daily.
Don’t get me wrong, I love love LOVE a fresh juice. But as a busy ass college student, I don’t always have time (or money) to buy all the ingredients to juice. Nor do I have a juicer at school. Another reason why I love Village Juice Co.
ANYWAY. Back to the protein:
What you WON’T find in this protein powder is: Artificial sweeteners, flavors, sugar, or a crazy amount of calories.
My favorite way to have this is pretty simple. Almond milk, 2 scoops of the protein powder, ice and banana or frozen banana.
As extras sometimes I will throw in chia seeds, hemp seeds, almond butter, powdered peanut butter, spinach (if I’m needing those greens), anything really that I can throw in.
But it’s always the main 4 ingredients. If I want it to be a little richer, I will do only almond milk, if I want it to be a little lighter I will do half almond milk, half water.
I recommend trying this protein powder out! And if you use Thrive it won’t break the bank.
Let me know what your favorite protein powder is!
