Hot or Not: Sephora Play!

In May, like the second week or so into the month, I was watching Amelia Says on snapchat and I was watching her basically unbox her Sephora Play subscription for that month and I was dead. It was so so good.

If you didn’t know, each month Sephora Play has a theme if you will. May was “Rising Stars” and they focused on some of the cult products that they carry and sell. In the box that she was showing there was product after product after product that I wanted to use. It had the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser, the Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt, Maison Margiela Beach Walk perfume, a Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color, a Grande Lips Lip Plumper, and a TreStiQue Highlighting Stick. So so good.

So I hopped on Sephora and ordered for the next month. The box that I received theme was “Summer Starters”.

When I opened the box I was actually really excited to receive the Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil. I love that stuff. But mine was missing like 1/3 of the product in the little deluxe sample so I was let down from that.

Another item I wasn’t too exciting about was the Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick. I am just not a bright colored gal and this is the bright of the bright. I can’t even think of one time that I would wear that shade, personally.

I was happy about the First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer. I have been wanting to try this out for a while so that was a win!

I also was interested in the Coconut Oil Gel by IGK. I have yet to use this but I am excited for the next time I have that “model off duty” hair look.

So my overall thoughts:

I am going to try out another month. I will have to cancel the next month because I am leaving for school but I will give you more of my thoughts when I receive the July box. I am very “eh” about this box right now and I feel like I just missed out on a good one in May.

What are your favorite monthly subscriptions?

xx, Chandler
