Round 2. Let’s do it.
If you read my last Sephora Play! post, you would know it left me feeling very “meh”.
So this box’s theme was “Glamp Out”. Not sure if the theme was portrayed through the products but that isn’t really important.
This time I was really excited to see if the products would make the subscription worth it in my eyes, or if it would flop.
And when I opened it I was pleasantly surprised and slightly happy.
If you read this post, you would know I love the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick. I use it under my eyes, when I’m feeling puffy anywhere, burnt, it just feels great overall. So this was a pleasant surprise. I actually ended up giving this to my sister Taylor since I didn’t really need it. Even though this would be perfect for under the eyes, I would just use my full size one instead.
Next up, the It Cosmetics Superhero mascara. I’ve tried this before and wasn’t a huge fan. I thought I could try it again, give it another go, and again it disappointed me. It doesn’t do anything that a drugstore mascara can’t. And what makes it worse is that when I was doing my makeup this morning and tried to start layering it, it got so clumpy and gross I had to take off my mascara after my makeup was all done. That is a feat in itself and I will not be using that mascara again. I MUCH prefer the L’oreal Lash Paradise or Maybelline Lash Sensational.
In the box was the Brigeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray. This product left my hair feeling hydrated and detangled my hair as well. I am going to use this a few more times and maybe buy the bigger size if I keep seeing good results!
The Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment was also in the box and was another item I ended up giving Taylor. She would probably get more use out of it than me, but the reviews for this product look promising! It is a detoxifying mask that minimizes pore size and balances hydration levels.
Lastly, the Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip color in Swag. The color is a blushing mauve color and looks like a pretty universally flattering color for a bunch of skin tones. I am not a huge fan of matte lipstick for everyday wear so this might not get a lot of love from me.
Overall, I will probably not be getting another box from Sephora Play!. The reason I got the box, the May box, just was so much more style than the ones coming this summer so I am going to cancel my subscription. Let me know if you have any other subscriptions that are amazing and you recommend.
