All good things have to come to an end and today I am leaving a city and a country that has stolen my heart for 4 months.
Florence is an amazing place to study abroad in and gave me so many experiences.
I was able to travel to amazing places such as Barcelona with Le Segrada de Familia, popsicles to cool down in the heat in Madrid, Paris with the Eiffel Tower, Amsterdam with bikes and canals galore, Switzerland where I enjoyed raclette and my first mulled wine, gold foiled buildings in Belgium, and beer in Germany.
In Italy I was able to visit coastal towns such as the colorful towns of the Cinque Terre, the old world of Pompeii, the gravel beach and orange umbrellas of Positano, and boating and swimming along the shores of Capri. In Tuscany we were able to visit the walled cities of Monteriggioni and San Gimignano and the gorgeous duomo of Siena. (Tuscany posts will be up soon!)
Florence, with it’s golden topped duomo, endless eateries and leather goods, has given me a semester that I will never forget. School was ok too, but the places will always be in my heart, and I am already itching to travel again.
